The programme has a proven track record of success. Many pupils have increased their reading ages once they have taken part in the programme. The skills that the pupils are taught can be applied to all subjects in the curriculum.
As we are experts in delivering the Sound Training programme, teachers at Stratford School Academy have been selected to train external candidates. We held our annual Sound Training CPD for teachers on Thursday 1st December and Friday 2nd December. Year 9 pupils were chosen to take part in the training as it would enhance existing reading skills.
